L2 Photography and Communication (Oriel): The Decisive Moment

L2 Photography and Communication (Oriel): The Decisive Moment: "“To take photographs is to hold one’s breath when all faculties converge in the face of fleeing reality. It is at that moment that mas..."

"In to this space, life will come"

Henri Cartier-Bresson (August 22, 1908 – August 3, 2004) was a French photographer considered to be the father of modern photojournalism. His father was a wealthy textile manufacturer, whose Cartier-Bresson thread was a staple of French sewing kits. His mother's family were cotton merchants and landowners from Normandy, where he spent part of his childhood.

A Decisive Moment is when a picture is taken and think, if this was taken a few seconds earlier or few seconds later this image would have been totaly different.

Macro Photography

In this picture, i used natural light and made the background out of focus.

In this shot, i used studio lighting. I used background d focus in all of my pictures to make you concentrate on themain image.

Again, in the image below i used normal lighting.

My Photography Pictures

I like this shot because its a close up on the object which makes the background out of focus. This makes the centre focus the sandwich which was my intention.
Crawley Borough Council gives out fines for people who are caught dropping litter, i believe that from this image, there giving out a message that its ok to leave litter if its in a bag. There idea of dishing out fines should back fire on them because there ment to be setting an example to others.
This litter was just opposite from the black bin bag (above image) which could of been picked up by a Council worker. This might lead to the impression that they aren't doing there job correct or that they can't be bothered to clean it up.
This image is good because it has some of the natural features of a garden followed by a pasta pot. What I'm trying to say about in this image is that leaving litter on the floor or anywhere destroys that location.
